Lee Schornoz was born in Fribourg and lives in Bern. He is a musician, composer and producer. Since 1986, his stylistic boundlessness has shaped the Swiss music landscape. His musical DNA ranges from raw independent rock and punk to complex electronic sound collages and orchestral compositions. With over 650 live events and more than 50 studio releases on his own independent labels (nicrecords / Pro Stata Records), he is one of the most productive minds on the regional music scene.
As head of the studio Caliber Club 2.0, Schornoz not only works on his own visions, but also forms the sound of numerous bands and artists as a producer. His most ambitious work to date is ‘Requiem Londinium,’ a monumental crossover project that fuses classical sacred choral music (including the vocal ensemble Tiramisu) with distorted electric guitars, electronics and a symphony orchestra. Schornoz deliberately breaks down traditional dogmas and creates a completely new, contemporary sound aesthetic.

„…admittedly, Lee Schornoz is not the first artist to attempt this sort of experiment. All too often, such attempts at fusion prove to be merely anecdotal, but in this case, it is love and passion that triumph. One might describe the work as sombre and challenging, but that would be an immense oversimplification, given that this journey beyond the bounds of time is so profoundly marked by beauty – by the humanity and humility of each of these individuals who have so brilliantly dedicated themselves to this quest for light, for joy...“

„the result is an excellent album blending rock, funk and Afro-reggae sounds, inviting listeners on a musical journey whose stages are hard to pinpoint, but which proves to be a wonderful auditory destination.“
